1Who We Are
InsightScoop is a service of Belly LLC (doing business as InsightScoop), located at 5632 Morgan Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55419. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” mean Belly LLC and the InsightScoop platform, including our website, mobile applications (iOS and Android), and related services.
2Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account & identity information. Name, email address, phone number, mailing address, date of birth, and — for independent contractor (scooper) applicants — the last four digits of your Social Security number for background check purposes.
- Pet & household information. Pet names, breeds, ages, health conditions, yard access details, and service preferences.
- Location data. GPS coordinates collected from scooper devices during active route shifts for route tracking, service verification, and mileage recording. Customer addresses are geocoded for scheduling and routing.
- Photos & health-adjacent data. Stool sample images captured during service visits, along with AI-generated wellness analysis attributes (color, consistency, content) used to provide pet health insights. This data is health-adjacent and informational — it is not a medical diagnosis.
- Payment information. Credit/debit card details and bank account information are collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We store only the last four digits and card type for reference. Scooper payout details are managed through Stripe Connect.
- Device & usage information. Device identifiers, IP address, browser type, operating system, app version, pages viewed, referring URLs, and product interactions (button clicks, feature usage) collected automatically when you use our services.
- Communications. Messages, support requests, and other communications you send to us.
- In-app purchase data. Subscription status, product identifiers, and renewal or expiration dates from Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store full payment card details for in-app purchases.
3How We Use Your Information
- Service delivery. Provide quotes, schedule visits, assign routes, track scooper activity, process payments, and deliver pet waste removal services.
- AI wellness analysis. Analyze stool sample images using artificial intelligence to generate pet health insights, wellness scores, and trend reports for pet owners.
- Billing & payouts. Process customer payments, calculate scooper earnings, issue payouts via Stripe Connect, and generate tax documentation (1099-NEC forms).
- Scooper management. Facilitate background checks, onboarding, route assignments, performance tracking, and communication with independent contractors.
- Communications. Send confirmations, reminders, service summaries, wellness updates, invoices, and respond to support requests.
- Improvement & analytics. Operate, maintain, and improve our websites, apps, routing algorithms, and AI models.
- Marketing. Personalize offers, measure campaign performance, and deliver relevant marketing when permitted.
- Safety & compliance. Detect and prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations.
Where required by law, we rely on your consent to send marketing communications, on contractual necessity to deliver services you request, and on legitimate interests to improve our operations and protect InsightScoop, our scooper network, and our customers.
6Website Measurement and A/B Testing
This section is about the public InsightScoop website, not the mobile app. As of August 3, 2026 the measurement described here starts when you arrive, without waiting for you to press anything. If you opt out, it stops. We check your answer again before every single event, so opting out takes effect straight away and not just on the next page.
What we measure
- Which button you clicked at the top of the homepage, and which of the three rotating homepage versions was on screen when you clicked it.
- Coverage checks: the ZIP code you type in, whether we serve it, and the city and state it matches.
- Clicks that begin a quote, and which part of the page the click came from.
- How far down a page you scroll, recorded at four points: one quarter, one half, three quarters, and the bottom.
- When the coverage section and the pricing section come into view.
- Which pricing card and which billing frequency you clicked.
- Clicks on the App Store and Google Play badges.
- Whether an email popup was shown to you, and whether you filled it in, closed it, or ran into an error.
Each of those records also carries the page address, your browser's user agent string, the date and time, how you arrived (campaign tags in the link you clicked, otherwise the site that referred you, otherwise direct), and a random id we store in your browser so that several actions from one browser can be counted together. That id is a random string. It is not your name, your email, or your address, and it is not tied to an account unless you are signed in.
Why we measure it
So we can tell whether a change to the site actually helped. Without a before and an after to compare, a good week and a real improvement look the same.
Testing two versions of a page (A/B testing)
No A/B test is running today. The headline at the top of our homepage cycles through three versions on a timer, and everyone sees the same rotation, so nothing is assigned to you and no one is split into groups. We do record which version was on screen when you clicked, as described above, because that is what you saw. If we start a real A/B test, where different visitors are deliberately shown different pages, we will update this section before it begins.
What is planned, and what happens before it starts
We are building a system that would run real tests of this kind: showing different visitors different versions of a page, keeping the version you were given stable as you move around the site, and grouping the results by how visitors behave, for example which page they arrived on. None of that runs today. We will update this policy before it does, and the same consent gate will apply to it.
Where these records go
- Our own database. This is the copy we actually read.
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, loaded only after you consent.
- Microsoft Clarity, which shows us how pages are used. It loads only with analytics consent.
- PostHog, for product analytics. Automatic capture is switched off, so only the events described above are sent. Session recording is on, with the masking described under Session recording below.
- Vercel Analytics, which is part of our website hosting.
- The Meta advertising pixel, loaded only if you also allow advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
- Your consent answer and the random visit id stay in your browser's storage until you clear this site's data.
- Campaign tags from a link you clicked are kept in your browser for 30 days.
- Cookies set by the companies listed above are kept for the periods stated in their own policies.
- The measurement records in our own database are kept while they are still useful for comparing one version of the site against another. Write to us and we will delete the ones tied to your visit id.
How to turn it off
- Press Opt out on the cookie banner when you arrive. Nothing further is measured and no advertising tag loads.
- If the banner is gone, use the small cookie button at the bottom left of any page, then Opt out. It is on every page of this site, not only the homepage.
- Clearing this site's data in your browser removes the stored answer, the visit id, and the campaign tags.
- Write to privacy@getinsightscoop.com and we will delete the measurement records tied to your visit.
Session recording
A session recording is a reconstruction of what a page did while you used it: layout changes, clicks, scrolling and pointer movement, with timing. It is not a video of your screen and it does not use your camera.
Where we use session recording, sensitive information is masked in your browser BEFORE anything is sent. Every value typed into a form is replaced, every piece of text on the page is replaced, and the Google address suggestion list is not recorded at all. That covers your service address, your name, your email address and your phone number, on the quote form and everywhere else. What reaches us is the shape of the page and what you did on it, not what it said or what you typed.
As of August 8, 2026 product analytics session recording is running on this website, in addition to the Sentry error monitoring described above. It is masked as described in the paragraph above, and it is covered by the cookie button on every page, the same as everything else in this section: opt out and no recording is made.
One thing we want to be plain about: opting out is all or nothing. It turns off both the measurement described here and advertising cookies together, and there is no way to keep one and refuse the other from the banner today. If you want one and not the other, opt out and write to us.
Signals sent by your browser: we do not currently act on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. The cookie button on every page is the control that works today.
7Marketing Communications
We send marketing emails or SMS messages only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the links provided in our emails or by replying STOP to SMS. We may continue to send transactional or service-related messages even if you opt out of marketing.
By providing a phone number, you consent to receiving calls and text messages from InsightScoop and our service providers about services, scheduling, and promotions. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for assistance or STOP to opt out of further marketing texts.
8Data Security & Retention
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. Despite these safeguards, no system is perfectly secure.
We retain personal information according to the following guidelines:
- Active accounts: Data is retained for the duration of your account and service relationship.
- After account closure: Core account data is retained for up to 3 years to support dispute resolution, legal compliance, and financial record-keeping.
- Financial records: Payment and tax-related data is retained for 7 years as required by IRS regulations.
- Wellness data & photos: Stool sample images and the wellness analysis data derived from them are retained while your account is active. If you close your account or request deletion, the copies linked to you and your pets are deleted within 90 days unless continued retention is required by law. You can also request deletion at any time through our Data Deletion process.
- De-identified wellness data: If we use stool sample images or their analysis results to train and improve our own AI wellness models, we first de-identify them — removing information that identifies you or your pet and severing the link to your account. We may retain those de-identified copies indefinitely. Because they are no longer linked to your account, de-identified copies are not removed by account closure or by a deletion request. You can turn this off at any time in your wellness privacy settings, and we will not use captures recorded while it is off to train our models.
- Background check data: SSN (last 4) and background check results are retained only as long as required for the scooper relationship and applicable legal obligations.
- Location data: GPS route data is retained for 12 months for service verification, then aggregated or deleted.
9Your Rights & Choices
- Access, correct, or update your personal information.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to legal or contractual obligations. Self-service deletion is available in your account: visit Account Settings on the web or the corresponding screen in the mobile app, then choose “ Delete Account.” Deletion cancels active subscriptions, cancels upcoming visits, anonymizes your account record, and removes your dogs and wellness photos. Visit history is retained in anonymized form for billing reconciliation. De-identified copies of wellness data used to improve our AI models are not linked to your account and are therefore not affected by deletion — see Data Security & Retention above.
- Opt out of marketing communications and certain analytics or advertising cookies.
- Request a portable copy of the information you provided.
- Limit or object to certain processing activities where applicable law provides that right.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, opt out of the sale or sharing of your data (we do not sell personal information), and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf.
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and other states with privacy laws: You may have additional rights under your state's data privacy legislation, including rights to access, correction, deletion, data portability, and opting out of targeted advertising.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@getinsightscoop.com or write to the address below. We will verify your identity before completing a request and will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We may decline certain requests where allowed by law.
10Children's Privacy
InsightScoop is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@getinsightscoop.com so we can promptly delete it. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information.
11International Data Transfers
InsightScoop is based in the United States. If you access our services from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We take appropriate safeguards to protect your information consistent with applicable laws.
12App Store Disclosures
Apple App Store & Google Play: Our mobile applications are distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These platforms may collect additional data as described in their respective privacy policies. InsightScoop's data practices are independent of and in addition to any data collected by Apple or Google.
Data used for tracking: We do not use your data to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes unless you provide consent through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt or equivalent controls.
Third-party SDKs: Our apps may include third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, and payment processing. Each SDK operates under its own privacy policy. We review third-party SDKs to ensure they meet our data protection standards.
13Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational or legal changes. We will post updates on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be communicated via email or in-app notification.
14SMS / Text Messaging
By providing your mobile number to InsightScoop, you agree to receive transactional text messages (such as appointment reminders, service-visit confirmations, schedule changes, security alerts, and billing notifications) and, where you have separately opted in, promotional messages about offers and add-on services.
- Message frequency varies based on your account activity.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or HELP for assistance. You can also manage SMS preferences in the app.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent/opt-in data with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is used solely to deliver the InsightScoop service communications described in this policy.
